The Pan-African Theme Hall welcomes all students with similar goals and expectations of expanding and developing the consciousness of students in the area of Pan-African culture and its relationship to other cultures of the world. PATH offers a number of resources and networking opportunities including academic workshops, guest presentations, hall dinners, social functions, field trips, along with a multitude of cultural events designed to enlighten and expand ways of thinking of African students. PATH is now located in Pentland Hills and all rooms are same gender.

Alumni Connect to students
Alumni did you know there are several new cultural, academic and social service organizations on campus? Learn more by visiting the African Student Programs Office. Volunteer to be a speaker for a student group on campus and connect to future Alumni.
African Americans in Humanities (AAH)
AAH increases educational and professional opportunities available to African American Humanities students through educational, cultural, social and volunteer activities.
Afrikan Student Alliance (ASA)
The Afrikan Student Alliance serves as a resource mechanism to foster the social, political, cultural and intellectual development of students of African descent at the University of California Riverside. ASA exists to encourage a positive image of its scholars and to support its members in achieving their educational goals.
African-Americans United in Science (AAUS)
Founded in the Spring of 1999, AAUS was established to provide a variety of educational programs, support opportunities and resources for African-American Students in the sciences and other majors as well. Opportunities include: physician shadowing, mentoring, community outreach, and partnership with various support groups.
The Afrikan Unity Day Coalition (UDC)
Founded in 2002 and officially registered in 2006, the Afrikan Unity Day Coalition exists to provide outreach events and services to Black K-12 students in the surrounding Inland Empire and Los Angeles counties. UDC is always looking to take on volunteers for its events, mentors for its mentor program, and sponsors to help with funding- please contact us at riversidudc@gmail.com if interested.
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Kappa Theta Chapter
Is the oldest Greek-letter organization established by and for African American college-trained women, founded on the campus of Howard University on January 15th, 1908. The purpose of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority is to be of service to all mankind through cultivating and encouraging high scholastic and ethical standards, while promoting unity and friendship among college women. The Kappa Theta Chapter was chartered on the Campus of the University of California, Riverside on March 27, 1976.
Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated, Pi Epsilon Chapter (AFA, PE Chapter)
Alpha Phi Alpha is the first collegiate fraternity for African-American men, founded on an "Ice Cold" Tuesday, December 4, 1906 at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Alpha Phi Alpha has long stood at the forefront of the African-American community's fight for civil rights through leaders such as W.E.B. DuBois, Martin Luther King, Jr., and Thurgood Marshall, to name a few. While continuing to stress academic excellence among its members, Alpha also recognizes the need to help correct the educational, economic, political, and social injustices faced by African-Americans.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide services and programs that promote human welfare. MX Chapter is continuing a legacy of Scholarship, Sisterhood, and Service in the Greater Riverside Area through programs such as; Breast Cancer Awareness, Financial Fortitude, Children's Book drives, and much more. Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., Eta Zeta Chapter
ΚΑΨ , a predominantly African American fraternity, founded by 10 distinguished men in January 5, 1911 at the campus of Indiana University. ΚΑΨ strives for successful academic achievement in every field of human endeavor. Chartered in 1974, the Eta Zeta chapter was the first Black Greek Lettered organization established in the UC Riverside campus.
National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE)
Founded in 1975, NSBE has grown to become the largest student-managed organization in the world, with over 20,000 members. NSBE's mission is "to increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community." With over 2000 elected leadership positions, 12 regional conferences and an unparalleled annual convention, NSBE provides opportunities for success that remain unmatched by any other organization. NSBE is open to collegiate, alumni, and technical professionals.
Nigerian Student Association
Nigerian Student Association’s goal is to identify and unite all Nigerian people, and other African students at the University of California Riverside. NSA’s aim is to help African people in the Diaspora and in our nation through public awareness about Nigerian culture and history.
Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
Omega Psi Phi Fraternity was the first fraternity to be founded on a historically Black college or university. Under the motto “Friendship is Essential to the Soul.” The Sigma Eta Chapter was chartered at the University of California Riverside on April 10, 1976. Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was founded at Howard University in Washington D.C. on January 16, 1920. Our colors are Royal Blue and Pure White. Zeta is a historical African American Greek Lettered organization grounded on the founding principals of Community Service, Scholarship, Sisterly Love and Finer-Womanhood. Our founders created Zeta, the ladies of The Dove, to be a benefit to African American women matriculating in a 4 year accredited institution. Our Chapter Covers the University of California Riverside and California State University, San Bernardino. Epsilon Sigma is truly an exceptional chapter that prides itself in being friendly and approachable. We carrry ourselves with pride, and an aura of finer womanhood that draws many interested young women.
